Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes with precision and care
Support cooking activities by following recipes and safety guidelines to ensure quality and consistency
Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to hygiene standards
Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of ingredients, equipment, and supplies using safe lifting practices
Support restaurant operations by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Operate POS systems for serving customers efficiently
Contribute to banquet setups and catering events, ensuring timely and professional service delivery
Skills
Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of kitchen operations
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good manual handling practices
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and culinary processes
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required
Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and attention to detail
