These five collectible trade tokens are from the British Columbia, Canada Indian Heritage Series. These are typically valued between $3.00 and $10.00 each, depending on condition, and these appear to be in near mint state condition. I believe most of these are of nickel composition, but a small percentage were cast in silver. (But not these) Offering this complete set of 5 for just $15 total. For three years, "Indian Heritage Dollars" were issued in three series by the North West Indian Cultural Society in British Columbia, Canada for use throughout the province. British Columbia has maintained a greater population of indigenous First Nations people compared to other provinces because of its relatively late colonization and mountainous terrain, and has continually been at the forefront of Canadian native rights struggles. These collectible dollars aimed to highlight the diverse cultures and histories of British Columbia's many different First Nations tribes. More details and photos follow, or you can simply Google each one or they can be found online being sold on eBay or Etsy.
